Indeed, it was our pleasure to invite guests from Tzu Chi to this unique harvesting ceremony of our hydroponics grown vegetable at our EITA Elevator HQ at Bukit Raja office. All guests were impressed with our hydroponics system and they even got to taste the fresh vegetable on-the-spot.

A big Thank You to the Environment team at Bukit Raja for initiating a hydroponic system at our office. This hydroponic system allowed us to create our very own “mini vegetable garden” concept at the roof top of Bukit Raja office, at the same time it also creates positive impact in the environment.

Simple and practical hydroponic technique has been implemented to kick start this program. We started this activity with 3 types of vegetables (Lettuce, Chinese flowing cabbage and Milk cabbage). The great thing about using hydroponics for cultivation of crops is that the system itself offers benefits and advantages to Mother Nature that simply do not exist when you are engaged in conventional land-based farming.

• Less Land is needed
• Reduced fossil fuel use with flexible growing locations
• Less water is used
• Reduced the use of Pesticides and Herbicides

In future, we will definitely involve more staffs in this activity to learn and increase the awareness and benefits of hydroponics farming, eating healthy and protecting our environment – ALL AT THE SAME TIME.
